Since the beginning of his musical career in his native Madrid, De La Swing (aka Domingo Bellot) has been steadily growing as one of the most solid DJs and producers, both in the Spanish and European electronic music scenes. Touched by the sounds of Laurent Garnier, Fatboy Slim or The Chemical Brothers, he didn’t let any style take over his repertoire, grabbing influences from genres as d&b, techno and house, as well as artists closer to broken beats, as the hip-hop sounds from Mos Def, Cypress Hill or DJ Shadow, which guided him in his early days.
Long has passed since then and De La Swing is now one of the main heads of the tech-house sound, both national and international-wise, becoming an artist in high demand in the UK and French scenes, the growing Croatian market, and most recently in the USA, as well as more exotic destinations as the UAE, Mexico and his first South American appearances.
Being now one of Barcelona’s foster sons, if something has stood out about De La Swing is his involvement and key role as resident of one of the main clubbing brands in the planet. Being an active player in elrow’s family, De La Swing has stablished himself as one of the main artists in its roster, becoming resident of both elrow Barcelona and its Ibiza parties (elrow Ibiza) by own right. This includes the last few years at Space Ibiza, where he had the privilege of playing the final set during the closing party of the brand in the iconic Ibizan club this 2016. He’s also resident of elrow’s wandering parties, which have taken over the stages of the biggest festivals across the globe.
Thus, he has become one of the attractions in the official Kaluki parties in the UK, as well as festivals such as Manchester’s Parklife Festival; Croatia’s Hideout Festival; Les Platjes Electroniques in Cannes; Lovebox Festival in London; Electric Zoo and Output in New York, besides the WMC in Miami (USA); Marvelous Island Festival in France; the iconic Mysteryland in Holland; the exotic Selenic Beach in Acapulco and BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen (Mexico); just to name a few of his latest destinations. And we can’t forget some of his Spanish biggest dates, as his performance at the 2016 edition of the ginormous Dreambeach Villaricos (Almeria) or his sessions at elrow Stage in the legendary Monegros Desert Festival.
However, if there is something that makes him feel really proud is his role as label manager and A&R of elrow’s satellite label: elrow Music. With over 90 references, the imprint fell into De La Swing’s hands in early 2016. Since then, he has made the label raise its profile, reaching the first positions in platforms such as Beatport, strengthening its approach and creating a complete, credible and reliable musical offer that keeps evolving with each release.
Energetic, full of charisma, without restrains or boundaries: that’s how you’d define De La Swing’s DJ sets, deploying his empathetic character to a crowd that loves him and demands more from him each day. This has led him to combine his DJ sets with more and more hours in the studio, getting him to release in labels such as Form Music, Deeperfect, Loose Recordings or Glasgow Underground, as well as elrow Music.
Be it as elrow’s resident, in any of his domestic or international dates, managing the day-to-day of elrow Music or producing his own records in the studio, De La Swing is a safe bet for the dancefloor, bringing the best music and clubbing experience you can find right to you!
